As a new player, you need to know what cards are in the deck. With nearly 500 cards and 40 different decks, this is impossible without learning how it works. Let me tell you everything that’s in your hand!
The “pokemon decks” is a deck made by the user ADP Dragonite. The deck contains Pokemon-based cards, which are used in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online.
As the notorious ADP/Z deck, ADP has dominated the Standard format for the majority of the 2020/21 format. It’s still good in Expanded now that it’s out of Standard (though Zacian V is still in it), particularly with Double Dragon Energy, which simplifies its GX attack. In the Expanded format of Pokemon TCG Online, we’ve seen a lot of ADP Dragonite decks in the 2022 Expanded format. Because Fairy kinds have been eliminated without modifying the Weaknesses on cards like ADP, the deck benefits from having a Fairy-type weakness on ADP.
Aside from a direct counter in the card Pokemon Ranger, which eliminates the impact of ADP’s GX strike, the card has almost no weaknesses.
Remove all attack effects from each player and their Pokémon.
However, since the ADP craze has calmed down, most Expanded decks are no longer running this card, and you may take advantage of this and utilize this deck in tournaments as well.

There are a total of 58 cards in the deck.
This ADP Dragonite Expanded deck is quite adaptable, and depending on the Pokemon TCG Online format you’re playing, you’ll see a lot of different permutations. Only ADP, Tapu Koko, and Dragonite V, as well as the Expanded mainstays Dedenne-GX, Tapu Lele-GX, and Crobat V, are required in this deck. You may also follow the Zacian V way and remove the Electric half of the deck and replace it with Metal Energy.
Altered Creation and Arceus Dialga & Palkia-GX
The first thing you should watch for in this deck is Altered Creation, ADP’s GX move and the game’s most broken GX attack, which allows you to take an additional Prize card for each knockout while simultaneously increasing your Pokemon’s damage.
Altered Creation-GX: Your Pokémon’s attacks do 30 extra damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon for the remainder of the game (before applying Weakness and Resistance). When your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 additional Prize card if this Pokémon has at least 1 extra Water Energy linked to it (in addition to the cost of this attack). (In a game, you can only use one GX attack at a time.)
Even after ADP has been depleted, this increase remains in effect. To complete the attack’s full impact, you’ll need 1 Metal and 1 Water Energy, but you have Double Dragon Energy, which may assist you achieve this criterion with only one Energy attachment instead of two. On a Dragon Pokemon, it counts as two of any kind of Energy (it is immediately discarded if you attach it to a non-Dragon-Type).
Only Dragon Pokémon may be used with this card. This card supplies all types of Energy, but only 2 Energy at a time, and only when linked to a Dragon Pokémon.
This eliminates the requirement for the Zacian V + Energy Switch combination, which has been seen in the majority of ADP decks so far. I’m going to assume for the remainder of this tutorial that you’ve completed your Altered Creation-GX and are obtaining the +30 damage increase for all of your Pokemon. You may also get the Item Card Muscle Band, which grants +20 damage to the Pokemon it is bonded to, by using Guzma and Hala.
Ultimate Ray is ADP’s primary attack, and with Altered Creation-GX, it will increase to 180, enabling you to two-shot any Pokemon in the game.
Ultimate Ray (150): Look through your deck for up to three basic Energy cards, then attach them to your Pokémon anyway you like. After that, shuffle your cards.
This assault is fantastic because, in addition to dealing damage, you’re also establishing your Bench and reducing your deck early on by removing the Energy cards.
The rest of the dragons
With its Dragon Gale strike, Dragonite V can deal 280 damage while also distributing damage over your own Bench with this deck. You’ll need two Energy attachments (Double Dragon + Electric) to pull this off. This is ideal for a 2-Prizer that already receives an additional Prize card for knockouts.

Naganadel & Guzzlord-GX is an optional card for this deck since its highlight, the GX attack, is useless once you’ve chosen Altered Creation-GX. Due to Dragonite V’s collateral damage, it is still a strong attacker with a 210 damage attack and the ability to repair itself. This deck doesn’t produce as much damage as other meta decks like Eternatus VMAX, but that’s not a problem since it gets a Prize card boost from Altered Creation.
Cards of support
Stormy Mountains makes it simple to build up this deck, and it also works with Electric Pokemon.
Each player may search their deck for a Basic Lightning or Basic Dragon Pokémon and place it on their Bench once during their turn. The player then shuffles his or her cards.
Keep your Stadium card in play, since the popular Path to the Peak Stadium card, which cancels most of your powers, is a danger to this deck.

Tapu Koko is an intriguing Prism Star card that assists you in fast putting on Energy. You’ll need two Electric Energy cards in your discard pile for this.
Dance of the Ancients is an ability. If this Pokémon is on your Bench, you may pick two of your Benched Pokémon and attach a Lightning Energy card from your discard pile to each of them once during your turn (before your attack). If you do, discard all of this Pokémon’s cards and send it to the Lost Zone.
You may use this to boost the power of your Vikavolt V and Zeraora-GX, which have the ability to provide free Retreats to all of your Pokemon with an Electric Energy attachment. Another card you may substitute in this deck is Vikavolt V, which simply fills the Electric Pokemon slot.
Endnote
In Expanded in 2022, ADP is still going strong, and it’s a solid option in the current meta, because Fairy-Type decks are dead and no one can strike it for Type weakness. This deck is one tier lower than it was in Standard last year, since its Zacian V duo will always be one of the most broken in the game. However, Dragonite V – which has no Weakness or Resistance on the card and can deliver a lot of damage with the Altered Creation boost – has been performing rather well in tournaments.
