Step 1: Bring up Control Center on your device
Step 2: Swipe to bring up media controls, then tap the ‘Tune’ button
Note that steps 3-5 are only applicable if you’re using an iPhone 7 or above with iOS 11 installed . With older devices, you can skip these steps.
Step 3: Tap on the ‘i’ button
Note that with older devices, this will bring up a song title or artist name. Step 4: Scroll across to find whether there is any FM frequency available near you – if not, tap where it says ‘no stations.’
Step 5: If there is a station available, you will be able to choose from four preset options.
Step 6: If you don’t want to listen through the car speakers, you can plug in your headphones and listen on them instead by pressing the headphone icon in Control Center , which appears when you plug in your headphones.
Note that if you need to make a call while listening via the FM chip, simply tap the ‘phone’ icon in Control Center instead. You can also control whether or not your screen is turned off by pressing the ‘lock’ button in Control Center.
Step 7: To deactivate the FM chip, simply open Control Center and tap ‘off’ next to Tune in the same place where you would usually choose a station.
