Tiktok is an app where you make short videos of yourself dancing or lip syncing to BTS, Exo, Tzuyu – basically any band/group you like. There are many reasons people “Dance With SHAWOL” (BTS fans). But, if you do it for the views, there are some things you have to know.
Tiktok is not just about dancing or lip syncing, but it’s about making videos of yourself. If you are reading this, I’m assuming you already know how Tiktok works so I’ll cut to the chase.
1. Knowledge about your audience
Know that there are many people using Tiktok. There are many kinds of people watching your videos and there is always the chance that some of them will not like you, dislike what you do, or even hate you. If you think about it, I’m sure everyone has gotten at least one rude comment on any social media site they use. You need to be able to ignore the rude comments and also be able to put yourself in their shoes. You never know what people are going through so if they are being rude, just let it go.
2. Location is everything
If you are making a video for Tiktok, please do not use the location filter… no one likes “that vase that was in your mom’s room that one time I visited, so you should take it out of the video.” Also, if you are making a dance video usually people want to watch people dancing not background dancers. I think Tiktok is all about being yourself so don’t have anyone else dancing unless they are super good.
3. Editing
You do not have to be an expert at editing, but it’s always nice when someone makes a good video. It’s up to you if you want to edit your videos or not, but I personally think you should. If you can’t afford to buy editing software or don’t know how to use one, check out “Vsco” on TikTok under “popular.” It has some great editing videos that can help you out.
4. Quality is everything
Some people will say it’s okay to film your videos with sub-par quality, but I 100% disagree. For one thing, if you are getting good views on your video it looks bad when the quality isn’t good. If your video is too dark, you will not get as many views and Tiktok is all about getting those views. You can buy a better camera, but it’s also good to practice good filming techniques such as changing the lighting in your room.
The Favorites:
You can simply tap the heart to favorite a video.
Comments: There is always someone saying something about your video, but you don’t have to read any of them. Usually it’s just “nice!!” and people who dislike you leave rude comments such as “Shawol trash.” I think if people are saying things like that then it’s a sign you shouldn’t do that video. You should be able to tell if a comment is rude without reading any of the words.
More advice – how to delete favorites on tiktok:
You can also go to your video and click the three dots in the upper righthand corner, then click “delete.” So if you don’t like your followers, you can delete them. It’s nice to delete people who unfollow you so if someone is following you, they probably like your videos.
As always, just keep having fun and continue to enjoy making videos for TikTok!
Conclusion
As always, just keep having fun and continue to enjoy making videos for TikTok! You can also delete favorites if you want or you can choose not to. Just have fun with it all!
